Thinking about entering the YAG fleece show? Want to know more about skirting your fleece for the show? or you might be thinking about converting your fleece into product and need to prepare it to send it to a processor? Perhaps you just want to know more about the quality of your fleece?

Then this interactive workshop is for YOU!

Time: 11.00 to 16.00 (Lunch 13.00-14.00)

Tutor/Facilitator: Former Judge and Alpaca Breeder Liz Barlow

Content: This is a very practical hands-on workshop. Liz will cover the basics of skirting fleeces for entering a fleece show and sorting your fleece for processing. In order help with this, she will describe the main fleece traits and you will have chance to practise identifying them yourself.

You will also have the opportunity to practise skirting a fleece.

Please bring the following with you:

Essential:

  • Notebook and writing implement
  • Spectacles if you wear them
  • A face mask

Desirable:

  • One or two fleeces
